American Horticultural Society Heat Zone Map
The 12 zones of the map indicate the average number of days each year that a given region experiences "heat days"-temperatures over 86 degrees (30 degrees Celsius). That is the point at which plants begin suffering physiological damage from heat.

Each day during the fire season, the Wildland Fire Assessment System (WFAS-MAPS), located at the U.S. Forest Service Rocky Mountain Research Station in Missoula, MT, produces national maps of selected fire weather and fire danger components of the National Fire Danger Rating System. http://wfas.net
