Firewise Toolkit
Fire Corps and the National Fire Protection Association’s Firewise Communities program partnered to develop a Firewise toolkit. “Getting Started with Firewise” provides information about building and maintaining communities in a way that is compatible with our natural surroundings. The toolkit can be ordered free of charge from the Fire Corps national office.
Firewise at the Woods
The website has been developed for use of homeowners living at the Woods in Hedgeville, WV and others who may be interested in their approach to Firewise and being a National Firewise Community.
National Database of State and Local Wildfire Hazard Mitigation Programs
The National database of stater and local wildfire hazard mitigation programs serves as a clearinghouse of information about non-federal policies and programs that seek to reduce the risk of loss of life and property through the reduction of hazardous fuels on private lands.
