- Wildfires affect communities around the world. This online toolkit provides interactive, science-based tools to help homeowners, decision makers, and researchers better understand where wildfires occur and how to protect homes and neighborhoods, as well as get up-to-the-minute wildfire news. - Firewise Toolkit
- Fire Corps and the National Fire Protection Association’s Firewise Communities program partnered to develop a Firewise toolkit. “Getting Started with Firewise” provides information about building and maintaining communities in a way that is compatible with our natural surroundings. The toolkit can be ordered free of charge from the Fire Corps national office.

- The website has been developed for use of homeowners living at the Woods in Hedgeville, WV and others who may be interested in their approach to Firewise and being a National Firewise Community.
- National Database of State and Local Wildfire Hazard Mitigation Programs
- The National database of stater and local wildfire hazard mitigation programs serves as a clearinghouse of information about non-federal policies and programs that seek to reduce the risk of loss of life and property through the reduction of hazardous fuels on private lands.
