Northeastern Area, Urban and Community Forestry Program

The U.S. Forest Service, Northeastern Area State and Private Forestry, Urban and Community Forestry Program provides technical, financial, educational, and research services to States, cities, and nonprofit groups so they can plant, protect, maintain, and utilize wood from community trees and forests to maximize environmental, social, and economic benefits.

Northeastern Area, Fire and Aviation–Cooperative Fire Management Program

The U.S. Forest Service, Northeastern Area State and Private Forestry, Fire and Aviation–Cooperative Fire Management Program focuses on the delivery of three key components (Stat Fire Assistance, Volunteer Fire Assistance and Federal Excess Property) that provide to state, local government and communities with the support for effective fire protection on non-federal lands to minimize the loss of life, property and natural resources. The delivery of the Cooperative Programs also includes support in management of State Aviation Management Programs, Fire Ooerations, Emergency Response, Firefighter Safety. Wildland Fire Training and the National Fire Plan.
